welcome to the second month of the wonderful new year! it's february kids which means that it's one month closer to spring but that isn't the best part. february is the month of love so make the best of it. it's a great month for those of you who have a significant other but for those of you who don't well, it sucks to be you. don't be down though, it doesn't mean that you can't go to the dance or have a good time. i would just stay away from all the lovey dovey couples if i were you.

in HOT OR NOT ?!
[ ]BURLINGHAM RECREATION CENTER
the burlingham recreation center is for the students that have chosen to live healthy. inside students will find a pool, a gym complete with indoor courts, and an arcade with games like dance dance revolution and guitar hero.

00
[ ]BURLINGHAM DORMITORIES
one on side of the building, the girl's dorms can be found and on the other, the boy's. the regulations of the dormitory hall state that no girls are allowed in the boy's dorms and vice versa, so it's wise not to get caught in the wrong hall.

14
[ ]THE COURTYARD
this is the burlingham academy courtyard where one will find groups of teens hanging about in between classes and in the mornings. but don't have too much fun, the professors aren't too keen on fun around here.

27
[ ]FITZGERALD BUILDING
home to most of the classrooms, the fitzgerald building is nothing short of the central hub of education here at the academy. this is where the students gain knowledge for the future.

15
[ ]GILBERTSON DINING HALL
gilbertson dining hall is supposed to have some of the best food on campus. a lot of the students might tell you differently though. why don't you stop in and judge for yourself? just stay away from anything looks like it's alive.

11
[ ]MICHELANGELO THEATER
home to a large stage, the michelangelo theater is like a second home to the students majoring in drama and holds school productions and assemblies.

00
[image]
[ ]THE STRIP
right in the center of town there's the lovely 'town square' where everything you could ever hope to have in one town can be found. restaurants, clothing stores, shoe stores, toy stores, churches and even museums can be found here.

414
[ ]LACEY'S DINER
a small family owned diner on the corner of town, lacey's diner is the place to go if you're looking for a quick bite to eat at a reasonable price with friendly service. it's rumored that some of the aristocrats won't even step place in here so keep your eyes open for anything different.

12
[ ]COMATOSE NIGHT CLUB
welcome to comatose, the only underage club in the area. if you're looking to be seen with the hottest crowd at the hottest club in town then this is the place to be. stay away from the lounge in the back though - it's only opened to the top of the social ladder.

14
[ ]CINEMA
looking for some place to go on a friday night with some friends? or perhaps a place to take your newest fling without going all out? stop into the cinema to catch the latest flick.

now playing: the final destination 3D, funny people, the time traveler's wife, aliens in the attic, the ugly truth, 500 days of summer, harry potter and the half blood prince.

11
[ ]TESCO EXTRA
tesco extra is a large hypermarket store that is open 24 hours a day. situated ten minutes out of town, the store is on two floors with the first floor for mainly food and the second floor for clothing, electronics, entertainment and more. inside there is a café and just off the main car park there is a petrol station open for use 24 hours a day, just like the store itself, except on sunday's when it is open 10am until 6pm.

17
[ ]THE GRAFTON
situated in the heart of beautiful cambridge, the grafton shopping centre is ideal for a great day out with shopping, eating and entertainment. it's only a ten minute walk from the centre of the city with ample parking, local buses and par & ride services stopping at the grafton bus interchange. open from 9am to 5:30pm most takes, open until 8pm every wednesday.

12
[ ]THE PENTHOUSE

the penthouse is the only 'gentleman's club' located in cambridge. we all know that it isn't really a gentleman's club, that's just fancy terminology for a strip club. admission is only for those over the age of eighteen and employment is only offered for those girls who are eighteen and above. boys, don't let your girlfriends catch you here unless you want to be castrated.

11
[ ]SAINT PETER'S CHURCH
located in the center of the town is one of the most prided historical churches in the area. it is the biggest church in the area and it also has the most members. on the steps of the church is where most of the skaters and stoners hang out. the priest is a kind elderly man who feeds them when he can and tries his best to get through to the younger crowd but to no avail. behave yourselves in here, kids. the nuns aren't as nice as father thomas. the cemetery is located around back, behave yourself back there, kids.

00
[ ]MCANDREW'S PARK
want to release that little kid that you bottled up so long ago? then why not take a trip down to the park with a few friends? everything from a few sport fields, a refreshment stand, a playground and even a skatepark are offered here!

615
[ ]RESIDENCES
here are the off-campus apartments, condominiums, houses and other residences of cambridgeshire. these residences are scatted all around cambridgeshire and are homes to multiple students, citizens and families.

1250
[ ]THE RIVER CAM
the river cam is a tributary of the river great ouse in the east of england. like many rivers, the cam is extensively used for several forms of recreational activity. these include angling, swimming and various kinds of boating. punting is the most popular form of boating. several of the local colleges own punts, and they can also be hired from various companies, either with or without a person to operate them (a "punt chauffeur"), taking you past many of cambridge's beautiful landmarks.

312
[ ]AROUND CAMBRIDGE
cambridge is a delight to visit in any season: relax in its many pubs, restaurants and cafes whilst exploring the independent shops around the historic market place. there are modern shopping areas too, with all the high street favourites that you would expect. be inspired by the museums and art galleries: spot the stars of the future at a student theatrical production, or see a show at the arts theatre. film, live music of all kinds, poetry readings, public lectures - enter into the intellectual life of the students while you are here. cambridge is easy to get to by road, rail or air - just 50 minutes from central london and 20 minutes from london stansted airport.

725
[ ]ASSAULT ZONE

the assault zone is located on a one thousand acres plot of land thirty minutes outside of cambridge. home to a paintball woodlands, laser tag dome, moto-cross track, go-kart track, a lake, a cafe, an extreme sports clothing store and an arcade it's the place to go if you like a big adrenaline rush! open year round despite the weather.

00
[image]
[ ]THE COURTYARD
the courtyard at the college is a lot different than the one at the academy which isn't too far away. it's more spacious here and there's a lot higher chance that you'll get in trouble for hanging out here while skipping classes. if you're smart you'll stay away from the west side of the courtyard - i hear that's where most of the drug deals go on. you wouldn't want to get mixed in that crowd now do you?

00
[ ]ALDRIDGE CAFE
who needs a dining hall when you have a top of the line cafe right in the middle of campus? come here for a nice coffee, a full meal or maybe even a late midnight snack. the aldrige cafe is open 24-7 to cater to those late night study sessions and midnight munchies.

00
[ ]CHAMBERLAIN LIBRARY
the chamberlain library is one of the biggest library in the area. five floors filled with any kind of information you need, a few computer labs and even some private sound proof study rooms. i'm pretty sure that not a lot of studying gets done in those rooms though if you know what i mean.

00
[ ]ROSEMARY THEATER
not a lot of people appreciate the beauty inside the rosemary theater but the students who are majoring in acting sure do. the rosemary theater has top of the line sound and lighting equipment and a rather large selection of seating. it's located in the center of campus. don't be caught here without permission though.

00
[ ]SLEEPING QUARTERS
all college kids need a place to sleep now don't they? when they're not partying studying then most of them are probably here with a few friends discussing their assignments like good little students don't you think? these dorms are co-ed.

00
[ ]LECTURE HALLS
the lecture halls are the central hub to the college. all classes are held here. don't be late or one of the professors might get a bit angry and i would recommend staying away from the halls at night. security roam around; i'm pretty sure you're smart enough to avoid them and use this building to your advantage after hours anyway.

00
[image]
[ ]INTERSTATES
looking for a way to get out of cambridgeshire the quick and cheap way? hop in your car and keep driving, you'll wind up somewhere else in no time. don't forget to refuel or you might be stuck somewhere unpleasant when you break down.

26
[ ]GRAND STATION
grand station offers train rides to pretty much anywhere at any time of day. if you're looking to go on a day trip or get away permanently this is the place to go and it's not too badly priced either. just be careful, not everyone is very friendly around here.

12
[ ]STANSTED INTERNATIONAL
those of us who have enough money to travel home for the holidays or for any other ocassion are more than welcome to go to stansted international and fly anywhere in the world. don't loose your luggage now, that wouldn't be very good now would it?

00
[image]
[ ]MINI RPS
here you can have what we call 'mini rp's' where there are no mini word counts or anything like that. this is for those mini plots that we all love when you can't be arsed to make it into an actual thread. please put who is involved, where the mini is taking place and when somewhere in the first post. enjoy!

00
[image]
[ ]MSN INSTANT MESSENGER
msn instant messenger; honestly, who doesn't use this nowadays? whether you're talking to your friend across town, in a different room or your dormmate who's across the room from you here's where you can have online conversations with people. don't forget to get out and socialize though!

15414
[ ]CELLULAR PHONES
need to call someone to meet up with? send a friend a text message or something else along those lines? here's where all things phone related can take place!

33134
[ ]MYSPACE
apparently good ol' myspace tom is still hard at work because myspace is still one of the biggest social networks around the world. if you don't have one or have never heard of myspace you might want to crawl out from under that rock you've been living under.

00
[ ]TWITTER
another quickly rising social networking site. unlike myspace, twitter is just a place to update what or who you're doing whenever you want. this is the best way to keep up with cambridgeshire's aristocrats if you ask me.

18173
[ ]LIVEJOURNAL
in all honesty why is livejournal still around? does anyone actually use it anymore apart from kate peterson? i don't think so but hey, it's a nice place to see what's going on in at least one of the aristocrats lives, right?
